Who is the Beast?
There are two beasts in Revelation 13;
the first beast who is often referred to as the Antichrist and the 2nd
beast which is referred to as the False Prophet.
“And he (false prophet),
causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the
(first) beast, or the NUMBER of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the NUMBER of the beast: for it is the NUMBER of a man; and his NUMBER is Six hundred threescore and six,” Rev.13:
11-18.
"Count the number of the
beast" is the total of adding the letter/numerical value of his name.
“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever:
and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the MARK of his name.

The MARK of his NAME
and the NUMBER of his NAME. So the "mark" and "number" refer to his "name".
How do we count the number of his name?
The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek. John wrote Revelation in Greek. Gematria is the study of the numeric
equivalents of Hebrew and Greek letters in order to find hidden meanings in the words.
In the Greek and Hebrew language there are no "numbers" such as 1, 2, 3, or 666.
The 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet all had number value just as the
24 letters of the Greek alphabet each had a number equivalent.
The
numeric system does not work in English or in languages other than Greek or Hebrew.
EXAMPLE:
Jesus (Iesous) in Greek
is 888.
You must calculate the number of a name in Hebrew or Greek
to see if it equates to six hundred sixty six.
If 666 is the MARK and the NUMBER of the beast.
What is his name?
The new age Christ- Maitreya
in the Greek and Hebrew gematria, both equate to the number 666.
Is he the antichrist beast of
