Do all paths lead to God? Oprah Winfrey appears to think so.
Oprah Winfrey’s new series “Belief” looks at a number of religions and might make one believe
there are many paths to God, as Oprah has said in the past. What does the Holy Bible say about how to get
to God?
Scripture
tells us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..” (Romans 3:23) And that “…the
wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord…” (Romans 6:23).
Jesus is the only way of salvation because
He is the only One who paid our sin penalty. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could
provide. “..Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me. (John 14:6).
Do not
be deceived! “…there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be
accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received,
let him be accursed,” Galations 1:7-9. Let’s
keep Oprah in prayer that her eyes may be opened to accept that Jesus is the Christ. “…Who
is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son,” 1 John
2:22

Trial By Fire

Who is the "great city"?
Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Revelation 16:19 And the great city was divided into
three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give
unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city,
which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Revelation 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that
great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. Revelation 18:16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city,
that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! Revelation 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city

Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason
of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. Revelation 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone,
and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown
down, and shall be found no more at all. Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from
God, Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. The great city” is identified with
Jerusalem.
